Our services are provided in a clean safe environment, always ensuring your dog comfortable throughout their groom and time with me. How much will it cost to get your dog groomed depends on the following: Breed/Size, Behaviour, Coat condition (matting etc), Time since last groom and Style required. Our amazing hydrobath, allows your dog to experience a spa bath. Using a warm therapeutic water massaging of skin, muscles and hair. We use different natural shampoos and conditioners tailored to your dogs coat type and texture. Nail trim included. After the bath, your dog is dried using a heat and speed adjustable dryer- to ensure maximum comfort.
Its is vital that puppies experience the grooming process at a young age. Puppies from 1 week after there second vaccine are able to come and have a mini groom. This includes a gentle bath in our warm hydrobath using all natural puppy shampoo and conditioner. Trim where necessary and introduction to the variable speed and heat dryer to go at your puppies pace. Also includes lots of puppy play and cuddles.
Nails that are clipped to the correct length ensure that your dog is toe position is more comfortable. Nail clipping is included as part of the groom but can also be done in a separate appointment.
My passion for animals was started by my late Nan and Pop. They owned Little Bassets, an idyllic small holding in rural Kent. When I was growing up I spent many a weekend and holidays helping them with a variety of farm, equine, small animals and of course all of their lovely dogs, ranging from Afghan hounds to Labradors to Jack Russells. I studied at various levels of diplomas in Animal Welfare until I graduated with BSc (Hons) Animal Welfare and Management. I was employed in a mixed veterinary practice for 15 years helping the vets and nurses which I loved. Whilst in practice I completed the COAPE CABT (Companion Animal Behaviour and Training) Diploma. After having left practice for a number of years to have my children, I then returned to the veterinary world as an Auxiliary Veterinary Nurse but this time in an Animal Shelter setting. I am currently still employed there on a part time basis and groom the dogs in surgery as required. I work with amazing vets and nurses. In memory of an amazing colleague I was awarded a part bursary to obtain an OCN Level 3 Diploma Dog Grooming. I completed my training with Amy Manser, at Just 4 Paws Dog Grooming training School. Amy wins multiple awards for her grooming and show dogs and is currently on Team Groom England.
